How Emergency Response System in India Works?

Emergency Response Systems (PERS) is also known as Medical Emergency Response Systems in which, by pressing a button, they let you call for assistance in an urgent situation. A PERS is fitted with three gears: a small radio transmitter, a console connected to your phone and an emergency response system tracking calls. There are unique telephone numbers connected with the quality emergency response system on the road side in India where you can call and they will be there to help you out with some form of emergency transport.

The MHA envisages a centralised scheme leveraging input from a number of tools, such as voice call, SMS , email, mobile application, etc. Below are the steps to this method.

The first point of contact-

A State / UT Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) is the State / UT call centre responsible for addressing requests for police, firefighting, Ambulance service in jaunpur to the emergency telephone number. There are specialised officers in charge of coordinating emergency services. The agent would make a case file in the system and will rate the call based on predefined rules. For further analysis, information about the emergency situation will be forwarded to the dispatcher.

Dispatch

Dispatcher would have on the GIS map information about the agent ‘s condition, and the availability of emergency vehicles. The dispatcher will collect all of the information and send the closest emergency vehicle to the site of the incident. It will also submit details to the nearby Police Station. The sender will have three computer screens containing desktops.

Arrive at scene and call conclusion-

The emergency vehicle will reach the situation and take into account the actions taken to the State / UT call centre via MDT. It will be closed in the NERS when the case is referred to the Police Station.
